Sign up for “The Silver Anniversary: 25 Years Coexisting with Mexican Gray Wolves"

Please join us for our upcoming virtual event celebrating the 25th anniversary of Mexican gray wolf reintroduction!

Though they once numbered in the thousands, these wolves were wiped out in the U.S. by the 1970s. In 1998, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, led by Jamie Rappaport Clark (now president of Defenders of Wildlife), released 11 Mexican gray wolves back into the wild in Arizona.

This special event will celebrate the recovery of this iconic species. Join Defenders as we showcase the successes and challenges along the path to restoration for Mexican gray wolves, as well as how we coexist to help them survive and thrive.
