Bodie the Bison

Bodie is an American bison, the national mammal of the United States. Bison once roamed from Alaska to Mexico. They still graze on the prairie today but live on only a fraction of their historic range. Habitat loss, illegal poaching, changes in climate and conflicts with humans are the biggest threats to bison. By adopting Bodie, you’re helping Defenders of Wildlife support bison recovery through collaboration with national parks, agencies and Native American tribes.
