One of our most iconic species, an animal critical to ecosystems like Yellowstone and integral to local tribes, is being ruthlessly targeted.

Defenders of Wildlife, Native American tribes, and other groups have joined together in recent years to continue to make progress in the restoration of this species, but state governments like Montana are trying to slash iconic bison populations, with many sent to slaughter.
